All-electric and plug-in hybrid cars purchased in or after 2010 may be eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500.

California Clean Vehicle Rebate
Administered by the Center for Sustainable Energy for the California Air Resources Board, the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) offers up to $5,000 in electric vehicle rebates for the purchase or lease of new, eligible zero-emissions and plug-in hybrid light-duty vehicles.

Antelope Valley AQMD

A $1,000 Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) incentive is offered to local residents within the AVAQMD jurisdiction which includes the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale and unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. AFV incentives are one per household, one per person towards new alternative fuel vehicle purchases or lease agreements made with local Antelope Valley Dealerships.

HOV Lanes of California Access


A vehicle that meets specified emissions standards may be issued CAV decals that allow the vehicle to be operated by a single occupant in the HOV (carpool or diamond) lanes of California's freeways. Click here for DMV Clean Air Vehicle Sticker.
