Available SYNC®27 is an easy-to-use in-car connectivity system that allows you to stay connected to your world. Simply pair your Bluetooth®-enabled phone and your compatible MP3 player or USB drive and SYNC does the rest. And now you can voice control Pandora® internet radio and other select apps in your 2012 Mustang with SYNC® AppLink™. Other features include:

The selectable Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver precise responses at high speed and optimize maneuverability at slower speeds when needed. By removing the belt driven hydraulics, it helps deliver improved fuel efficiency.* EPAS allows you to choose from three settings.
Normal: the default factory setting
Sport: there is slightly higher steering effort required with more road force felt through the steering wheel
Comfort: there is slightly less steering effort required with less road force felt through the steering wheel

The Reverse Sensing System uses innovative ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper to audibly alert you to certain objects behind the vehicle when you’re backing up at slow speeds. The closer you get, the quicker the system beeps. Included in the available Reverse Sensing System and Security Package on Mustang V6, V6 Premium, Mustang GT and GT Premium.

Hear your favorite AM and FM radio stations in pure digital quality. With HD Radio, FM stations have CD-quality sound and AM stations sound like FM stations. Reception is crystal clear, with no audio distortion, buzz, popping or static. Additionally, there are more channels offering more of the type of programming you like as well as new formats – more music, more news and more sports. Information such as song, artist, breaking news, weather alerts, sports scores and other information is displayed on-screen. Best of all – there are no subscription fees, plans or monthly bills with HD Radio. HD Radio is included in the available Electronics Package for the 2012 Mustang. (Available only on V6 Premium, GT Premium and Shelby GT500™ models.)

The available voice-activated Navigation System* with integrated Sirius Traffic™ and Sirius Travel Link™ networks several functions and displays them on an easy-to-use eight-inch, touch-screen display. The system features audible turn-by-turn route guidance, traffic alerts, current and forecasted national weather information, fuel prices, sports scores and schedules, and movie listings.** On top of all that, the 10-gigabyte music jukebox function stores more than 150 hours (approximately 2,400 songs). Browse your music with your fingertips or use voice activation to play back a track. The integrated DVD player is capable of reading CD-Audio, MP3 CDs, DVD, DVD-Audio and DVD-ROM (for digital map updates). And the system’s screen can even be customized with personal photos.

Get a clear view behind your vehicle when backing up slowly with the available rearview camera, which is activated when the Mustang is shifted into reverse. A small camera mounted within the decklid spoiler then displays a video image in the rearview mirror or on the Navigation System* screen (on models equipped with a Navigation System). The screen image includes colored guides to give the driver a better perspective of the vehicle’s center point and periphery. The rear view camera is available on the 2012 Mustang V6 Premium and GT Premium.

HID headlamps produce two and one half times higher output than halogen bulbs, while consuming 20 percent less power than conventional halogen bulbs. Additionally, these headlamps last longer than halogen bulbs. Included in the available HID Headlamps and Security Package on V6 Premium and GT Premium.

Here are two superb sound systems that will rock your world. The available 500-watt Shaker™ 500 audio system includes an AM/FM stereo, single-disc CD/MP3 player and eight speakers. It comes standard on the 2012 Mustang V6 Premium, GT Premium and Shelby GT500. ™ The available Shaker 1000 audio system also includes an in-dash single-disc CD/MP3 player, but adds two speakers and doubles the wattage of the Shaker 500 system, pumping a full 1,000 watts of power into 10 premium speakers. The sonic boom from this system comes courtesy of two door-mounted subwoofers, plus two additional 500-watt subwoofers mounted in the trunk. A unique mounting enclosure keeps the subwoofers out of the way to maximize the amount of useable trunk space. The Shaker 1000 audio system is available on the 2012 Mustang GT Premium and Shelby GT500™.
