> 2012 F-150 Features: interior

Quiet Environment

The quiet environment inside the Ford F-150 owes much to the Ford 720-degree approach to noise reduction through sound engineering. Its stiff frame and body, shear-style body mounts, door seals, Quiet Steel® and a noise-absorbing headliner all work together to reduce unwanted noise and vibration.

Quiet Steel is a trademark of Material Sciences Corporation.

Fully Flat Load Floor

No buttons to push or levers to pull. Simply use one hand to fold up the mechanically articulating rear seats inside the F-150 SuperCrew against the back of the cab. Easily access the class-exclusive fully flat load floor of a cargo compartment that provides 59.9 cu. ft. of usable storage space, the most usable space available in its class.* The seat cushion folds up and out of the way and the doors swing wide open to allow easy access to this large amount of space.

*Class is Full-Size Pickups under 8,500 lbs. GVWR, non-hybrid, vs. 2011/2012 competitors.

Rear View Camera

To aid you while moving in reverse, the available Rear View Camera uses a camera mounted in the tailgate to produce a large and bright real-time visual display in the interior rearview mirror. In vehicles equipped with the available Navigation System, the visual is displayed on the Navigation System's screen (shown).

In-Cab Storage

The SuperCrew provides a lot of places for storage throughout the interior, including large storage bins inside the door panels. There's also an available lockable center console, equipped with rails for hanging files, that holds up to two laptop computers. And in the SuperCrew, you can easily fold up the 60/40 split rear seat to carry a large load of cargo (59.9 cu. ft.) on the fully flat load floor.

Safety Cage

For additional crash protection, the safety cage within the F-150 features advanced hydroformed high-strength steel. Furthermore, dual hydroformed front tubes, located on either side of the engine bay, are shaped to absorb impacts.

Personal Safety System™

The standard Personal Safety System™ uses the electronic crash-severity sensor, a restraint-control module, a driver’s seat position sensor, dual-stage front airbags,* Front Passenger Sensing System, safety belt pretensioners, safety belt energy management retractors and front outboard safety belt usage sensors to help protect the driver and front seat passenger.

*Always wear your safety belt and secure children in the rear seat (SuperCab and SuperCrew).

SuperCrew Rear Seat

F-150 SuperCrew comes with a 60/40 rear split bench seat. This seat shows its versatility in three ways. Fold up the 40-side seat cushion when you need to carry extra cargo and also seat two passengers. The 60-side cushion when folded up provides even more space for cargo and still provides room for a passenger. Of course, your can fold them both up and take advantage of all the cargo space available behind the front seats. King Ranch® interior is shown.
