You can also get turn-by-turn directions, including traffic alerts, Vehicle Health Report and much more.* SYNC even recognizes, over 10,000 voice commands. It's so easy, so smart.
Or you can upgrade to the dynamic MyFord Touch™, an industry-first shift in the way you interact with your vehicle. It not only keeps you seamlessly connected with the rest of the world when you're at the wheel, but allows you to customize your driving experience to your needs. Using touch controls and voice commands, it's an intuitive, easy-to-use way to control your vehicle's systems as you drive. The system combines two five-way switch pads on the steering wheel with three LCD screens – two in the instrument cluster, and one in the center stack. MyFord Touch™ features an 8-inch touch-screen display in the center stack. The customizable displays let you decide what you see on your vehicle's instrument panel. And the controls are so natural – much like a mobile phone interface – using them feels instantly familiar.

Available adaptive cruise control lives up to its name. Activate it and it functions just like normal cruise control – with one exception. When adaptive cruise control sensors detect traffic slowing immediately ahead of you based on your preset distance, your vehicle also slows down. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Collision warning with brake support helps in case an accident appears imminent. This function will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A “heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield and emits an audible alert. If you don't react and a collision is imminent, the brakes will precharge and increase brake assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.

Available Intelligent Access with push-button start is ultra convenient and a step ahead – just like Edge. You can enter Edge without getting out your keys. With the key fob in your pocket or in your possession, you can unlock the door. Once inside, and the key fob still with you, simply press the brake pedal and then push the start button.

The BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross traffic alert is yet another innovative feature available on Ford Edge. When a vehicle is detected entering the blind spot zone, an indicator light illuminates in the outside mirror corresponding to the side from which the vehicle is approaching. The cross traffic alert feature uses the blind spot monitoring sensors to audibly and visually alert you to another vehicle approaching from either side while you are slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot.

Get a clear picture of what's behind you. Put the gear selector in Reverse and the rear view camera automatically transmits the image to the available 4.2-inch or 8-inch LCD screen while slowly backing up. Available in the Edge SEL, Limited and Sport.
