The standard 120-amp alternator provides plenty of capability for normal duty. For tougher applications, the heavy-duty 155-amp alternator (included in the School Bus Prep Package) or the extra-heavy-duty 225-amp alternator is available with the 5.4L EFI Triton® V8 and 6.8L EFI Triton® V10 engines. A heavy-duty 78-amp battery is available to upgrade the standard 72-amp, and dual heavy-duty 78-amp batteries are optional for supplemental power.

It's easy to use add-on systems with the four optional user-defined upfitter switches. They're smartly integrated into the instrument panel for fast power access and upfit operation. The four switches can operate high-power relays for heavy-duty accessories, and this super-clean installation is prewired and ready to go.

A 33-gallon mid-ship fuel tank is standard on E-250 and select E-350 models. A 40-gallon aft-of-axle tank is standard on E-350 models and available on most E-450’s. A 55-gallon aft-of-axle tank is available on specific dual-rear-wheel models.

This hardworking optional Ambulance Prep Package is available with E-350 and E-450 models with the 6.8L EFI Triton® V10 gasoline engine or the 5.4L EFI Triton® V8 gasoline engine. It includes:
• 4.10 limited-slip axle with E-350; 4.56 limited-slip axle on E-450
