6.2L V8 Gas Engine

Compared with the engine it replaced, the 6.2L V8 gas has bigger pistons, bigger intake and exhaust valves, and a larger engine bore diameter. The result? The E85-capable 6.2L engine delivers responsive horsepower and torque for effortless on-the-job performance* – plus excellent fuel economy to grow your bottom line. If your Super Duty® is an F-250 or F-350 model, you have available the CNG/LPG Gaseous Engine Prep Package for power conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquid propane gas (LPG).** Included are hardened engine intake valves and valve seats, plus bi-fuel manifold.

*Power ratings: 385 horsepower; 405 lb.-ft. of torque. GVWR. **Vehicle will be equipped with the standard factory gasoline fuel system. This package does not include CNG/LPG fuel tanks, lines, etc.

Ford TorqShift® 6-Speed SelectShift™ Automatic

The 6-speed TorqShift® automatic transmission has big, strong gears that take on extra torque, meaning you use fewer rpm because the torque converter locks up at lower speeds. More impressive is the powder metal sinter brazed assembly. This kind of transmission is built for high-performance engines because of its strength, durability and ability to withstand high heat. That means you can rev it harder and push it to greater extremes. Also, the SelectShift™ feature has two driver-initiated modes. In Progressive Range Select, you can limit the range of gears to lock out overdrive for consistent speed over hills and mountain ranges. In Full Manual mode, you can go all the way up and all the way down the gearbox to put you fully in control.

6.8L V10 Gas Engine

Standard on the Super Duty® XL and XLT F-450/F-550 Chassis Cabs, the 6.8L is the only V10 gas engine of its kind available in its class.* The 6.8L V10, with features such as a free-breathing 3-valve-per-cylinder induction system, continues building its reputation as a dependable powerplant with its impressive 362 horsepower and 457 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s mated to a 5-speed TorqShift® automatic transmission. You’ll be interested to know that a CNG/LPG Gaseous Engine Prep Package for power conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquid propane gas (LPG) is available on the 6.8L V10. Included are hardened engine intake valves plus exhaust valves and valve seats.**
